Indore: In a significant operation on Friday night, Ratlam police raided an illegally operating spa located inside Tulsi Water Park on Panched-Namli Road. The raid resulted in the detention of four individuals and the discovery of three Thai nationals working at the facility without proper documentation.
Undercover Operation
A team of women police officers posed as customers to verify intelligence regarding suspected illegal activities at the spa. After confirming the tip-off, the police team conducted the raid and recovered objectionable material from the premises.
Legal Action
A case has been registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, along with provisions of immigration and foreign nationals regulations. The accused include water park owner Yogesh Singh (Ratlam), manager Dilip Thakur (Namli), spa operator Naresh Chouhan (Pali, Rajasthan), and spa manager Bharat Mewara (Pali). All four have been taken into custody and are being questioned at Namli police station.
Visa Violations
Scrutiny of documents belonging to the three Thai women revealed that one woman's visa had expired. Of the remaining two, one entered India on a tourist visa, while the other held a business visa. Investigators are examining whether their activities violated visa conditions.
Additionally, officials found that the presence of foreign nationals on the premises had not been reported to the local police station or police headquarters, as required by regulations.
Preliminary Findings
Initial investigation indicates that Yogesh Singh rented out space inside the water park to Naresh Chouhan for operating the spa. Police are now collecting details about visitors and attempting to identify regular customers and any wider network linked to the operation.
Namli police station in-charge Amit Kori stated that the action was based on a tip-off and preliminary evidence gathered by the police team. Documents related to the visas and passports of the Thai nationals are being verified.
