Akhilesh Yadav accuses BJP of indecent language ahead of 2027 polls

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of resorting to unparliamentary and indecent language, sensing defeat in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The former chief minister claimed that the BJP has failed on all fronts of governance and is using diversionary tactics to avoid answering questions raised by the public.

BJP's alleged diversionary tactics

In a statement, Akhilesh Yadav said, "A nervous BJP top rung in the government and in the organisation have started using unparliamentary and indecent language." He added that the party's allies are indulging in undemocratic conduct and bringing disrepute to their positions. "Such diversionary tactics will not help the BJP government hide its failures, and the people of the state will vote them out in 2027," he asserted.

Corruption and lawlessness under BJP rule

Akhilesh Yadav alleged that corruption is at its peak under the BJP government, and law and order is in shambles. "Criminals are having a field day committing sensational crimes at will. Tehsils and police stations have become centres of corruption. Medical health services have been completely destroyed. Hospitals are ill-equipped to treat patients and lack medicines. The education system has been crippled, and examinations and recruitments are no longer transparent," he said.

The SP chief also criticized the government for failing to double farmers' income, leaving them struggling with fertilizer and seed shortages. "The BJP and its allies have done nothing but spread and promote hatred, discrimination, and disparity," he added.

Support for Cockroach Janta Party protest

In a separate post on X, Akhilesh Yadav expressed support for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. He said that the youth today represent a call for change. "The foundations of the existing system were beginning to crack, and young people have now started a revolution," he wrote.

Akhilesh emphasized the need to address the root of the problem rather than just its visible branches. "In order to achieve actual freedom, the very origin of the problem will have to be addressed to achieve real freedom, progress, and justice. One nation, one voice means revolution," he stated.
