The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Central Railway has demonstrated unwavering commitment to safeguarding railway property and ensuring passenger safety through round-the-clock vigilance. From January 1 to April 30, the force successfully reunited 584 children and adults with their families and saved 25 lives through key operations.
Operation Nanhe Faristey
Under this humanitarian mission, the RPF focused on rescuing runaway, missing, and destitute children found on railway premises. During the four-month period, a total of 499 children were rescued, comprising 331 boys and 168 girls. These children were either reunited with their families or handed over to Child Welfare Committees and NGOs for care.
Operation Dignity
This initiative aimed at providing care and protection to vulnerable individuals on railway premises. The RPF identified and rescued men and women in distress, ensuring timely assistance and rehabilitation. From January to April, 85 people were rescued, including 38 men and 47 women who required care and protection.
Operation Jeevan Raksha
RPF personnel displayed vigilance and courage in saving passengers who slipped while attempting to board or alight from moving trains. A total of 25 lives were saved across Central Railway, including 20 male and five female passengers. The alertness and prompt action of RPF personnel prevented untoward incidents at railway stations on multiple occasions.
The sustained efforts of the RPF underscore their critical role in maintaining safety and security on the railway network, protecting both property and human lives.
