Rs 48 Lakh Stolen from Builder's Bungalow in Surat

A theft of Rs 48 lakh took place at a builder's bungalow in the Adajan area of Surat on Monday morning. The incident occurred at the residence of Kaushal Patel (32), who lives in Setu Vila Society with his wife, sister, and parents. His father, Himmat Patel (61), a builder, had kept Rs 48 lakh in cash in a cupboard. Himmat Patel was out of station attending a social function on Monday.

Details of the Incident

According to police reports, an unknown person entered the bungalow around 1 am and left around 3 am. Kaushal's sister, Nidhi, heard a noise during the night and alerted her brother. When Kaushal woke up, he noticed someone leaving the house with a bag. The family immediately called 112 and informed the police. Adajan police are investigating the matter further.

Investigation Underway
