RTO Driver Fatally Struck by Truck During Enforcement Operation in Jaipur
In a tragic incident on Sunday, a 48-year-old driver employed with the Regional Transport Office (RTO) flying squad lost his life after being hit by a truck near the Hingonia toll plaza on Agra Road in Jaipur. The accident occurred while the team was actively conducting vehicle checks, according to police officials.
Details of the Fatal Incident
Police have identified the deceased as Rajaram, aged 48, a resident of Kotputli Behror. The flying squad was engaged in issuing challans approximately 200 meters from the Hingonia toll plaza in the Kanota area around 3 pm. During this enforcement activity, Rajaram was crossing the road when an unidentified vehicle, believed to be a truck, allegedly ran him over and fled the scene immediately.
Immediate Response and Medical Efforts
RTO staff members on site promptly rushed Rajaram to SMS Hospital for urgent medical attention. However, despite their swift actions, doctors at the hospital declared him dead upon arrival. The body was subsequently shifted to the mortuary by Accident East-2 police for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and gather forensic evidence.
