The victim, identified as Harsh Jaiswal, a resident of Sarai Premraj in Kakori, was returning after completing his daily duty of collecting cash from various liquor shops on behalf of his employer, Manish Jaiswal.
According to preliminary police reports, the four perpetrators were strategically waiting for the victim as he entered the confined lane of Tarannum Market. As soon as Harsh Jaiswal reached their position, the attackers swiftly surrounded him and made a forceful attempt to snatch the bag containing the day's collections.
When the salesman courageously resisted their aggressive advances, the assailants escalated their violence by attacking him with a sharp-edged weapon, causing significant injuries. Overcoming his resistance, they forcibly seized the bag containing the entire Rs 10 lakh in cash before fleeing the crime scene under the cover of darkness.
