New Delhi: Seven minor boys have been apprehended for stabbing a 16-year-old boy near a park in northwest Delhi's Shakurpur, police said on Tuesday. The incident occurred on May 15 near Children's Park in H-Block, Shakurpur. Police stated that they received information about the stabbing around 8:17 pm at Subhash Place police station and immediately rushed to the spot. The teenager was found critically injured with a knife embedded in the left side of his body, bleeding profusely.
Police Action and Hospitalization
SHO Subhash Place inspector Tej Pal Singh promptly transported the teenager to a hospital, which helped save his life. A case under Sections 109 (attempt to murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered, following which the seven juveniles were apprehended. Police said the accused were part of local rival groups and that an argument and alleged trolling led to the attack.
Investigation Details
DCP (Northwest) Akanksha Yadav revealed that the knife used in the offence was purchased online approximately three days before the incident. Authorities are investigating the matter further, and the juveniles are in custody. The victim is currently recovering in the hospital.
