Shimla Police Organize Anti-Chitta Campaigns Across District

Shimla police on Saturday launched anti-chitta awareness campaigns across the district, targeting schools and panchayats to combat drug abuse. The initiative involved hundreds of students and teachers, with a focus on educating youth about the dangers of chitta and other narcotics.

Students Educated on NDPS Act and Preventive Measures

During the campaigns, students were apprised of the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. They were also informed about preventive measures and the role youth can play in building a drug-free society. Students were encouraged to immediately report any drug-related activities to their teachers or the police.

Pledge Administered to Students

A pledge was administered to students, where they vowed to stay away from drugs and raise awareness among others. The campaigns were held at Government Senior Secondary School, Government Senior Secondary School Lalpani, and other locations, as well as in various panchayats.
