The Singappen task force in Sivakasi and Dindigul has arrested four men on charges of harassing women over the past two days, according to police reports.

Arrests in Sivakasi

In Sivakasi, three history-sheeters were arrested on Saturday night. The accused, identified as Mahendrakumar (26), Senbagapandi (25), and Mahendran (27), were taken into custody at AVT Street around 9:30 PM following complaints that they were causing a public nuisance and harassing a woman.

Incident in Dindigul

Meanwhile, the Singappen task force in Dindigul detained a male textile worker on Sunday. The arrest came after a 19-year-old woman reported that the accused had behaved in an obscene manner towards her while she was heading to a restroom in their unit. The incident had occurred two days earlier, but the woman reported it during an awareness session conducted by Singappen personnel at the textile establishment on Saturday.
