In a significant breakthrough, six miscreants were arrested and a juvenile was detained in Ramgarh while allegedly planning to commit a crime. The police seized sophisticated firearms and ammunition from their possession, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Details of the Arrest
The arrested individuals have been identified as Bittu Kumar Ravi (33) from Tandwa in Chatra, Vikas Sao (25), Vishal Kumar (19), Hiralal Kumar (22), Digambar Prajapati alias Degan (32), and Ahtesham Ansari (19), all residents of Patratu in Ramgarh. A minor was also detained in connection with the case.
Alleged Links to Notorious Gang
Ramgarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukesh Kumar Lunayat stated that the accused are believed to have links with the Rahul Dubey gang, which is notorious in coal and industrial regions. The arrested miscreants confessed their involvement in several firing incidents, including those at a railway flyover construction site, a dairy farm, and a major cement factory in Patratu.
Further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of their criminal activities and any additional connections, the police added.
