Jamshedpur: Six members of the Manish Singh gang were arrested in coordinated raids across police station limits on Tuesday in connection with the May 15 shooting case at a Jugsalai-based readymade garments store, police said on Wednesday.
Details of the Incident
SP (City) Lalit Meena stated, “The attackers targeted the garment store to terrorise its owner, Dinesh Kumar, after he refused to pay their extortion money. The shopkeeper escaped narrowly.”
Arrested Individuals
The arrested miscreants were identified as Abhishek Srivastava (31), Rahul Kumar (25), Harpreet Singh Bhamra, Rahul Singh (25), and Ankit Sonkar (24) — all residents of Jugsalai, besides Baneshwar Namta (45) of Chandil. All have been remanded to judicial custody.
Seized Items
Four country-made pistols, five live cartridges, three empty magazines, one spent bullet, six mobile phones, and the car used in the crime have been seized, he added.

The Manish Singh gang is involved in criminal activities, including extortion and murder, across East Singhbhum and neighbouring districts.
