Sonipat Police Arrest Man for Alleged Murder of Woman Using Brick
In a shocking and brutal incident, the Sonipat police have made an arrest in connection with the murder of a woman, who is reported to be the suspect's mother. The accused allegedly bludgeoned the victim to death with a brick, leading to his apprehension and subsequent judicial custody.
Discovery of the Crime Scene
The case traces back to April 16, when Satpal, a resident of Sisana village, approached the Kharkhoda police station with a distressing complaint. According to his statement, he arrived at his farmland around 9 am near the Phogat brick kiln on the Sisana-Silana road. There, he discovered the body of a woman lying in a pool of blood outside his field hut.
The victim had sustained severe head injuries, and a brick was found nearby, strongly indicating it was used as the murder weapon. Satpal immediately informed his neighbor, Anil, who promptly alerted the police authorities.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Upon receiving the alert, a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Pradeep swiftly launched an investigation. During the preliminary inquiry, two individuals present at the spot—identified as Toona and Sunny, residents of Muzaffarpur in Bihar—were questioned. However, they failed to provide satisfactory answers regarding the woman's death, raising significant suspicion.
Acting on these leads, the police apprehended the accused, Sunny, who is the son of Ramroop, also known as Toona. Authorities confirmed that Sunny was directly involved in the crime, leading to his arrest.
