Sonipat Police Advanced Weapons Training Programme

The Sonipat Police conducted a high-level training programme on advanced weapons handling and soft skills at the Police Lines on Sunday, aiming to enhance operational efficiency. The training was divided into two sessions, each comprising 50 police personnel, totaling 100 officers and personnel trained through a mix of theoretical inputs and hands-on exercises.

Weapons Handling and Technical Insights

Participants received intensive training in handling modern firearms, including self-loading rifles (SLR), INSAS rifles, and carbines. Expert instructors provided detailed insights into the technical aspects, structural components, and safe usage of these weapons. The programme placed special emphasis on practical drills such as safe dismantling and reassembly of weapons, scientific methods of maintenance and cleaning, and effective response techniques during emergency situations.

Enhancing Professional Standards

Officials stated that such initiatives not only boost the confidence of personnel but also enhance their ability to deal with evolving security challenges. Police spokesperson ASI Ravindra Singh said that these training programmes play a key role in continuously improving the professional standards of the police force and ensuring public safety. The Sonipat Police remain committed to upgrading skills and preparedness to serve the community effectively.
