South Korean National Fatally Stabbed in Noida Residential Complex
A tragic incident of domestic violence has shaken a residential community in Noida, resulting in the death of a South Korean national. The victim, identified as Duck Hee Yuh, was allegedly stabbed to death by his live-in partner, a woman from Manipur, at their home in Sector 150.
How the Incident Came to Light
The case first came to the attention of authorities on Sunday, January 5, 2026. The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida informed the police that a man had been brought to the hospital in a deceased state. Following this call, local police officers immediately reached the hospital to initiate an inquiry.
Investigations revealed that the deceased, Duck Hee Yuh, was admitted to GIMS by a woman named Lunjeana Pamai. Pamai, a resident of Thangal village in Manipur, was in a live-in relationship with the victim. During police questioning, she reportedly confessed to stabbing Yuh with a knife, which led to his death.
Details of the Relationship and the Altercation
Police officials stated that the couple had been in a live-in relationship for the past two years. According to ADCP Greater Noida, Sudhir Kumar, the couple had a fight on the night preceding the incident, which escalated fatally. "The couple had gotten into a fight the previous night after which the woman ended up killing him with a knife. They used to get into fights often," Kumar said.
The preliminary investigation found that the deceased was living at the ATS Pious Hideaways society in Sector 150. Duck Hee Yuh, originally from South Korea, was working in India as a branch manager at a private firm.
Police Action and Case Registration
Following the confession and initial findings, the police have taken Lunjeana Pamai into custody. A formal case has been registered at the Knowledge Park police station in connection with the murder. The investigation is ongoing to determine the precise sequence of events and the motive behind the fatal stabbing.
