The unfortunate sequence of events unfolded in the early hours of Friday in Paudhanrampur village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Akhanda Nagar police station. A wedding procession (baraat) had arrived from Baronsa village in the Jaisinghpur area for the ceremonies.
According to police reports, the situation spiraled out of control around 12:30 am during the 'dwar puja' ritual, a time when guests were actively dancing and celebrating. What began as a minor disagreement among members of the host's side quickly escalated into a physical altercation. The argument, centered around the dancing, intensified rapidly, leading to a full-blown fight.
A Life Lost: The Victim and Medical Response
In the ensuing scuffle, 24-year-old Anish Paswan, a resident of Paudhanrampur, sustained severe and critical injuries. Alerted by the commotion, local villagers intervened to pacify the hostile groups and immediately rushed the injured Anish to the nearest community health centre (CHC) for urgent medical attention.
At the CHC, medical officer Dr. Sudhir Barnwal provided initial first aid. Given the grave nature of Anish's injuries, Dr. Barnwal referred him to the higher-equipped Ambedkarnagar district hospital for advanced treatment. Tragically, Anish Paswan succumbed to his injuries while en route to the district hospital.
Police Investigation and Aftermath
Speaking on the incident, Akhanda Nagar Station House Officer (SHO) Sant Kumar Singh confirmed the details. He stated that after persuading the grieving family, the body was sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The police are investigating the matter further to identify all individuals involved in the clash that led to this fatal outcome.
