Surat: Neighbour Stabs 20-Year-Old Worker to Death After Argument Over Panipuri Cart

In a shocking incident of neighbourhood violence, a 20-year-old embroidery worker was stabbed to death by his neighbour at Shriram Nagar Society in Amroli, Surat, on Sunday night. The fatal altercation reportedly began with an argument involving a couple of neighbours, including a panipuri cart vendor, before escalating into a deadly attack.

Details of the Fatal Altercation

According to police reports, the victim, identified as Mahendra Rajput (20), originally from Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh, had an initial argument with a neighbour who operates a panipuri cart in the area. During this quarrel, another neighbour, Soyeb Hazarika (25), who hails from Nagaon district in Assam, intervened in the dispute.

The situation took a violent turn when Hazarika allegedly began verbally abusing Rajput, prompting Rajput to ask him to leave the spot. Hazarika initially left the scene but returned shortly afterward armed with a sharp-edged weapon. In a brutal attack, he stabbed Rajput multiple times, inflicting critical injuries.
