Railways on Fast Track: India's First Bullet Train Set for 2027 Launch

The minister detailed a phased rollout plan for the service. The first operational section will run between Surat and Bilimora. This will be followed by the opening of the Vapi–Surat stretch, then Vapi–Ahmedabad, and subsequently the Thane–Ahmedabad section. The final phase will see the full Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed corridor becoming operational, fulfilling a long-standing vision for modernised rail connectivity.
