Details of the Alleged Confrontation

According to the official complaint, the incident occurred on Friday night. The complainant, Mohammed Sirajuddin, a resident of Narimogaru in Puttur, was near the Mukve mosque when the accused, Abdul Rahiman, also from Narimogaru, initiated a confrontation. This argument stemmed from a dispute that had taken place earlier that same evening. Following the heated exchange, Abdul Rahiman departed from the location.

Later, as Mohammed Sirajuddin was returning to his home, he reportedly witnessed Abdul Rahiman allegedly displaying a sword in a menacing and threatening manner. This act created significant fear among people in the vicinity, with the apparent intention of causing harm to someone. Based on this detailed complaint, the Puttur town police promptly registered a case under sections 109 and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with sections 3, 25, and 27 of the Arms Act, and commenced an official investigation.

Police authorities have confirmed that he is now out of danger and recovering.

Abdul Rahiman filed a counter complaint with the police, stating that while he was standing near the Mukve junction, unidentified individuals attacked him from behind, rendering him unconscious. In response to this allegation, a separate case was registered at the Puttur town police station under sections 118 (1), 126 (2) read with section 3 (5) of the BNS, adding another layer to the ongoing investigation.
