Tragic Discovery in Udai Shahpur Village
A somber atmosphere has gripped Udai Shahpur village in Pratapgarh after the body of an 18-year-old youth was discovered hanging from a tree. The incident, which came to light on Sunday, has left the local community in shock.
Police identified the deceased as Anil, a young man who had been residing with his maternal grandparents. The grim discovery was made a short distance away from his grandparents' home.
Police Investigation and Family Background
Station House Officer (SHO) Vijendra Singh of the Aaspur Devsara Police Station confirmed the details of the case. According to the initial investigation, police suspect the death to be a case of suicide. A thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding the tragic event is currently underway.
SHO Singh revealed poignant details about Anil's family situation. Both of Anil's parents are deceased, and his elder brother works and lives in Delhi, the national capital. This left Anil in the care of his grandparents from a young age.
Originally, Anil hailed from Chandpur village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Maharajganj Police Station in the neighboring Jaunpur district. He had been living with his grandparents in Udai Shahpur since his childhood.
Surviving Family and Ongoing Probe
Besides his elder brother working in Delhi, Anil is survived by a married sister. The loss has undoubtedly devastated the already fragmented family.
