Tej Pratap Yadav Accuses Personal Assistant of Theft

Janta Janardan Party (JJD) chief and former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav has lodged a theft complaint against his personal assistant, alleging that valuables and cash were stolen from his residence. The complaint was filed at a police station in Bihar on Tuesday, according to officials.

Details of the Stolen Items

In his complaint, Tej Pratap stated that apart from an undisclosed amount of cash, the stolen items include a gold chain weighing over 23 grams, a gold ring, electronic gadgets, and mobile phones. The total value of the stolen property is yet to be ascertained.

“The personal assistant, who has been working with me for some time, is accused of taking the items from my house. I have provided all necessary details to the police,” Tej Pratap said in a statement.

Police Investigation Underway

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and have launched an investigation. “We are examining the complaint and will take appropriate action. The accused is being questioned,” a senior police officer said.

Tej Pratap, son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has been vocal about his political ambitions and recently formed his own party, the JJD, after differences with his family.
