Krishnagiri Blackmail Case: Three Teenage Boys Arrested
In a disturbing incident in Krishnagiri, three teenage boys allegedly blackmailed a 14-year-old schoolgirl using morphed photos. The boys, all school dropouts aged between 14 and 16, coerced the girl into sending them real nude photos and videos. After obtaining the material, they blackmailed her father, demanding Rs 10 lakh to prevent the content from being uploaded on social media. The Krishnagiri all-women police have arrested all three boys.
Details of the Incident
According to the complaint filed by the girl's father, the main suspect, a 14-year-old school dropout, lived with his parents on the ground floor of a building. The girl and her parents resided on the first floor of the same building. The boy was the girl's former classmate. Two of his friends, also school dropouts, frequently visited him and noticed the girl living upstairs. They inquired about her, and the boy provided them with her Instagram ID, Facebook ID, and mobile number.
The trio downloaded her photos from Instagram and created a fake account to contact her. They began messaging her, asking personal questions such as who she spoke to at school, whom she loved, and whom her sister loved. They then morphed a photo of the girl and sent it to her, threatening to spread nude images of her and her sister on social media unless she sent real nude videos and photos. The frightened girl complied and sent the requested material.
Subsequently, the boys sent the videos and photos to the father's WhatsApp number, threatening that the family's honor would be lost if the content was circulated. They demanded Rs 10 lakh from him. The father filed a police complaint on Wednesday evening, leading to the arrest of the trio. They have been sent to an observation home.
