Visakhapatnam: Three youngsters were killed in separate accidents in Vizianagaram district.
First Incident: Tractor Overturns
In the first incident, a Class VII student, B Jaswanth (12), died on the spot, and his father suffered injuries after their tractor overturned near Puligummi village under Merakamudidam mandal. The police said the incident took place when the father-son (Krishna and Jaswanth) were returning on the tractor after completion of some farming activities.
Second Incident: Lightning Strike
In another incident, a 17-year-old boy was killed when a bolt of lightning struck him while he, along with some friends, was playing cricket at an open place near Kondavalasa locality under Regidi mandal. The deceased was identified as A Pawan, a second-year intermediate student. The locals said Pawan collapsed on the field after he was struck by lightning. Though he was shifted to a private hospital, he was declared dead.
Third Incident: Road Accident
A 30-year-old married man was killed in a road accident after his bike was hit by a speeding car near Gudiwada locality. The deceased was identified as Ch Sekhar, a native of Ramabhadrapuram locality. The police said Sekhar’s wife Dhanalakshmi gave birth to a baby boy around two weeks ago at Gurla village. When Sekhar was heading towards Gurla village on his bike on Saturday, a speeding car hit Sekhar’s bike, resulting in Sekhar's death.
