Three Young Men Killed in Tragic Overbridge Crash in Muzaffarnagar
A devastating car accident on the Panipat–Khatima national highway in Muzaffarnagar resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left two others with serious injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday when a speeding vehicle lost control, broke through the railing of a 12-meter-high overbridge, and plummeted nearly 100 meters into a sugarcane field below.

According to police reports, the victims were all friends in their early twenties, traveling from Haryana to Uttarakhand. SSP Sanjay Kumar stated that the driver was speeding, which led to a loss of control. The car violently collided with the overbridge railing, causing it to fall into the field. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely mangled upon impact.
Rescue and Response Efforts
Local residents were alerted by a loud crash and immediately notified the authorities. A swift rescue operation was launched, with villagers assisting police in pulling the occupants from the wreckage. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced three of them dead upon arrival.
The deceased have been identified as Sagar, Himanshu, and Yash, all residents of Gurugram in Haryana. Chhapar SHO Mohit Singh confirmed that the families of the victims have been informed about the tragedy.
