A protracted land dispute between two families in Tirupati's rural mandal has culminated in a brutal murder and subsequent retaliatory attacks, plunging the area into tension and chaos. According to authorities, the conflict centered on a 10 Ankanam property at Adapareddy Palli, leading to a deadly confrontation that has left one man dead and properties destroyed.
Details of the Murder and Immediate Aftermath
On Wednesday night, the simmering feud turned violent when B Rahul Reddy allegedly stormed into the home of Amarnadh Reddy. In a shocking act, Rahul Reddy slit Amarnadh Reddy's throat, killing him on the spot before fleeing the scene as family members were unable to intervene. The swift escape left the victim's relatives in a state of shock and grief, setting the stage for further unrest.
Retaliatory Attacks and Property Damage
In the wake of the murder, family members and relatives of Amarnadh Reddy gathered at his house, fueled by anger and a desire for revenge. They decided to retaliate, but upon approaching Rahul Reddy's residence, they found it locked. Enraged, the group proceeded to ransack the house and set both the property and a motorcycle on fire, escalating the violence and causing significant damage.
Police Response and Ongoing Investigation
MR Palli police, led by Circle Inspector K Maddaiahchari, rushed to the village upon learning of the sequence of events. They managed to bring the volatile situation under control, registering a case related to the murder and subsequent attacks. Amarnadh Reddy's body was shifted for postmortem examination as part of the investigative process.
