The victim's grandmother, speaking to the media, said, 'He spoke to us and assured justice. He also enquired about us and whether we have a house. He said he was with us and not to worry.'

The Chief Minister expressed deep condolences and promised that the government would ensure the strictest punishment for the accused. He also inquired about the family's well-being and offered assistance, including housing support. The grandmother added that the CM's words brought some comfort during their time of grief.
Investigation Underway
Police have registered a case and launched an intensive investigation. The accused, a neighbor, has been taken into custody. Authorities are collecting evidence, including forensic reports, to build a strong case. The incident has sparked outrage across the state, with demands for harsher penalties for crimes against children.
The Tamil Nadu government has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the victim's family and assured them of free legal aid. Officials said the trial would be fast-tracked to ensure justice is delivered promptly.
