According to the complaint filed on Saturday, the trader was taken from his rented home late on April 2 by a group of men. They were then separated, with the victim being forced into another vehicle and taken to an isolated field.
The victim described a harrowing ordeal where he was beaten, humiliated, and told that his "time was up." He alleged being forced into the boot of a car and driven to multiple locations, where the torture escalated. In a disturbing twist, a caller speaking to one of the assailants allegedly claimed to be "speaking on behalf of an MLA" and urged severe punishment for the man.
