Trichy: A tragic car accident in Ponmalai, Trichy, on Sunday night claimed the life of a 63-year-old woman and left her grandson and son injured. The deceased has been identified as S Maithili, a resident of Annamalai Street in M K Kottai.
Details of the Incident
On Sunday, Maithili was traveling with her 5-year-old grandson S Arura and her son S Saravanan, 44, from Manapparai to their home. Around 11 pm, near the West Gate area, Saravanan lost control of the car, causing it to crash into a roadside iron pole.
Injuries Sustained
Maithili suffered severe head injuries, while Arura sustained injuries to his stomach, and Saravanan sustained chest injuries. All three were rushed to Trichy MGMGH, where doctors declared Maithili dead on arrival.
Legal Action
The traffic police have registered a case against Saravanan, and further investigations are underway.
