Mumbai: A 34-year-old man was brutally beaten to death by two assailants in the V P Road area on Tuesday evening, with the case being registered on Wednesday. The VP Road police have arrested the two accused, identified as Govinda Akhilesh Yadav and Adil Maqbool Khan. The deceased has been identified as Shamsher Salam.

According to police sources, the attack occurred on Tuesday evening when Yadav grabbed Salam by his shirt collar while Khan seized the victim by the throat from behind. The duo then violently slammed Salam onto the road, causing severe internal injuries to the back of his head. These injuries proved fatal, leading to Salam's death on the spot.
