Arrests Made in Saraipalya Knifepoint Robbery
Bengaluru police have arrested two individuals in connection with a knifepoint robbery that occurred in the Saraipalya area. The incident took place between 4.30 am and 4.40 am on June 17, according to officials.
Details of the Incident
The victim was approached by the suspects while walking alone. They brandished a knife and demanded his valuables, including cash and a mobile phone. The police acted on a tip-off and apprehended the duo within days.
“We received a complaint and immediately launched an investigation. The accused were identified through CCTV footage and local intelligence,” a police officer stated.
Recovery and Legal Action
Stolen items were recovered from the suspects, who have been remanded to judicial custody. The police are probing if they were involved in similar crimes in the area.
