Two Arrested for Road Rage Attack on Architect Couple

Bengaluru police have arrested two individuals in connection with a road rage attack on an architect and her husband. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening near the KR Puram railway station.

Details of the Incident

The victims, identified as Priya (architect) and her husband Ravi, were returning home when a group of men on a motorcycle allegedly overtook their car and forced them to stop. An argument ensued over the overtaking maneuver, escalating into a physical assault. The accused, later identified as Manjunath and Suresh, allegedly used a iron rod to attack the couple, causing injuries to Priya's arm and Ravi's head.

Police Action

Following a complaint filed by the victims, the KR Puram police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including assault and criminal intimidation. The accused were arrested within 24 hours based on CCTV footage and witness statements. They have been remanded to judicial custody.

Victim's Condition

Both Priya and Ravi were admitted to a private hospital and are reported to be in stable condition. Priya, a prominent architect in the city, has received support from the local architects' association, which condemned the attack.
