Two Arrested in Gym Firing Linked to Bishnoi Gang

New Delhi: A week after shots were fired at a gym in outer Delhi's Paschim Vihar, Delhi Police have arrested two men linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang in connection with the incident.

The two men detained in the case were identified as Arman (19) and Tushar (21), both residents of Gohana in Haryana.

Special commissioner of police (crime) HGS Dhaliwal said the firing incident was reported around 4am on June 11 outside 24HS Fitness Gym in Paschim Vihar, owned by Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa. Police said two motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at the gym. No injuries were reported, and seven empty cartridges were recovered from the spot.

Later, an Instagram post allegedly made by Anil Pandit, said to be linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang, surfaced on social media claiming responsibility for the firing. In the post, he claimed the attack at 24 HS Fitness Delhi was carried out by his group and alleged that Guru Randhawa had been getting 'too close' to a Bollywood actor. The post further claimed that Randhawa had earlier been warned to stay away from the actor, whom the group described as its enemy.

Dhaliwal said police later received inputs about Arman and Tushar, following which both were apprehended.

According to police, Arman is a cousin of the alleged shooters, Sahil and Sagar. Tushar had gone to Russia in 2023 on a study visa and was working there. He returned to Delhi on May 31 and came in contact with Sahil and Sagar on June 8. Police said the group subsequently planned the firing at the gym on the directions of Anil Pandit.
