First Case: Ajit Varman
Police officials confirmed that Ajit Varman, a 19-year-old resident of West Champaran district in Bihar, was arrested for allegedly luring away a minor girl from the Chinhat area. Second Case: Asif alias Naimulla
In a separate incident, Asif alias Naimulla, a 20-year-old also hailing from West Champaran, was arrested for allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting another minor girl. The victim was recovered from the Aishbagh railway station on January 25. Asif was subsequently arrested from Narkatiaganj on Wednesday, after a meticulous search operation. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
