In a brazen daylight robbery, two unidentified bike-borne snatchers targeted a lecturer in the Civil Lines area of Ludhiana. The incident occurred on June 7 when the lecturer, employed at Khalsa College, was riding her Honda Activa. The assailants snatched her gold chain and fled the scene.

The victim, Bhavna Sachdeva, a resident of Sant Nagar, Haibowal Kalan, was on her two-wheeler on the evening of June 7. As she crossed the Domoria Bridge and approached Iqbal Nursing Home in Civil Lines, two unidentified men on a motorcycle came from behind. The pillion rider grabbed the gold chain, weighing approximately 1.5 tolas, from her neck and escaped on the motorcycle.
Police Investigation
A case has been registered against the unidentified suspects. Head constable Asees Kumar, investigating the case, stated that CCTV footage from the crime scene and nearby areas is being scrutinized to identify the snatchers. The police are hopeful of apprehending the culprits soon.
The incident has raised concerns about safety in the area, especially during daylight hours. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
