In a tragic incident in Rajasthan's Karauli district, two brothers were buried alive on Saturday when the walls of a 40-foot-deep well caved in on them. The victims, identified as Mukesh Meena (35) and Kamlesh Meena (32), were attempting to retrieve a water pump that had been buried inside the well.

The incident took place in Amargarh village, which falls under the Sapotara police station area of Karauli district. According to police officials, the two brothers had been digging inside the old well for several days in an effort to recover a motor pump from its depths. The well, which was approximately 40 feet deep, had unstable walls that ultimately collapsed on them.
Rescue Operation
Upon learning of the incident, local villagers immediately launched a frantic rescue operation. They were later joined by police and rescue teams who arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts, the men were trapped under the debris and could not be saved in time. Both brothers were extracted from the well and rushed to a local hospital, where they were declared dead by medical staff.
