A devastating road accident in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district resulted in the deaths of two individuals on Sunday evening. The victims, identified as Chandrika Kumar Sah (35) and Raju Kumar Patel, were riding a motorcycle when a government bus collided with them head-on.

The tragic event occurred near the sharp turn at Nawalpur Kanta, within the jurisdiction of the Sahebganj police station. According to police reports, the government bus was involved in a direct collision with the two-wheeler. The impact of the crash was severe.

Chandrika Kumar Sah died on the spot due to the force of the collision. His friend, Raju Kumar Patel, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the Sahebganj Community Health Centre (CHC) for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the medical facility.

Police Investigation and Community Impact

Both deceased were close friends and residents of Ward-4 under Rajepur panchayat. The local community has been left in shock by the sudden loss.

Speaking on the action taken, Sahebganj Station House Officer (SHO) Ashok Ram provided crucial updates. He confirmed that the police have seized the bus involved in the accident. Authorities are currently in the process of verifying the identity of the bus driver. Efforts are actively underway to locate and arrest the driver, who fled the scene after the incident.
