Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Friends in Northwest Delhi
In a heartbreaking incident, two young friends lost their lives after their motorcycle collided with a truck in the Bhalswa Dairy area of Northwest Delhi on Wednesday night. The local police have confirmed the details of this fatal accident, which has left the community in mourning.
Details of the Fatal Collision
The accident occurred late on Wednesday evening at Gurjar Chowk in Bhalswa Dairy. According to police reports, information about the collision was received at the Bhalswa Dairy police station at approximately 11:50 PM. A police team was immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found a truck and a black Splendor motorcycle in an accidental state.
Two unconscious individuals were discovered at the accident site and were promptly shifted to BJRM Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Tragically, both victims were declared brought dead upon arrival at the hospital, confirming the worst fears of authorities and family members.
Victims Identified as Young Professionals
The deceased have been identified as Azad Bharti (28) and Dipesh (28), both residents of Mukundpur in North Delhi. Azad worked at a medical shop in Mukundpur, while Dipesh was employed as a taxi driver. The two friends were returning home when the tragic accident occurred, cutting short their promising lives.
Driver Arrested and Legal Action Initiated
The truck driver involved in the collision has been identified as Baljinder Singh (35), a resident of Khilchian village in Punjab's Amritsar district. Police have taken him into custody following the incident.
Authorities have registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Bhalswa Dairy police station under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Both the truck and the motorcycle involved in the accident have been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

An eyewitness identified as Rohit was present at the accident spot and provided a statement to the police. His account has been recorded and will form part of the investigation into the circumstances leading to the fatal collision.
