Two Held with Illegal Liquor in Bokaro Raid

Bokaro: In a late-night operation near a railway crossing under Balidih police station limits, two individuals were apprehended with illegal liquor valued at approximately Rs 1.5 lakh. DSP Pawan Kumar reported that the contraband was recovered from a hotel and a general store. The suspects, identified as hotel manager Avinash Singh and store operator Suraj Kumar Singh, were taken into custody.

Seized Items

The seized liquor comprised 264 bottles of various Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) brands and 101 bottles and cans of beer. The accused could not produce any valid documents or licenses pertaining to the seized items.

Police Action

DSP Kumar emphasized that strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal liquor trade. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the liquor.
