A tragic road accident claimed two young lives and left another person critically injured in Ganjam district on Wednesday. The incident occurred when the motorcycle the trio was travelling on collided with a roadside tree.

The accident took place near the area of Mandarada. According to police reports, the motorcycle lost control and slammed into a tree by the roadside. The impact of the crash was severe, leading to fatal injuries for two of the riders.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul Nayak, aged 27, and Kedar Naik, aged 26. Both were residents of Banamali village. The third person on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries in the collision.

Given the seriousness of his injuries, medical authorities made the decision to refer him to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for advanced treatment. His current condition remains critical, as per sources.
