A tragic road accident in the early hours of Sunday claimed the lives of two young software professionals and injured two others in Hyderabad. The incident occurred near Moula Ali when the car they were travelling in crashed into a road divider.

Details of the Fatal Collision

The four friends, all residents of Malkajgiri, had set out from home at approximately 5:30 am with plans to play cricket at a local ground in Tarnaka. According to police reports, the driver, Ashrith Reddy (23), lost control of the vehicle upon reaching the Isakabavi area. The car then violently rammed into the median.

Ashrith Reddy died on the spot due to the impact of the collision. His friend, Balaji Shiva Sai Patel (23), who was also a software engineer, sustained critical injuries and later succumbed while receiving medical treatment.

Survivors' Condition and Police Statement

The two other occupants of the car, identified as Srikanth and Rahul, survived the crash with injuries. They are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Authorities have stated that their health condition is now reported to be stable.

Lalaguda sub-inspector Y Yugandhar provided insights into the probable cause of the accident. "Based on the statement given by the survivors, early morning fog led to the accident as the driver did not have clear visibility," the police official said. This suggests that reduced sightlines due to the fog were a primary contributing factor to the driver losing control.

The accident has sent shockwaves through the local community and the professional circles of the deceased. The loss of two young individuals at the start of their careers highlights the persistent dangers on roads, especially during early morning hours when conditions like fog can create hazardous driving environments.
