A tragic road accident in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district claimed the lives of two young men late on Wednesday night, casting a pall of gloom over their families and the local community. The fatal incident occurred when a speeding motorcycle lost control and collided with a road divider.

Details of the Muzaffarpur Accident

The accident took place near Gobarsahi Chowk, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station. According to preliminary information, the bike was moving at a high speed when the rider lost control, leading to a direct and violent impact with the divider. The force of the collision proved fatal for both individuals on the vehicle.

Both riders were declared dead at the scene. Personnel from the Sadar police station rushed to the location as soon as they were alerted. The police subsequently seized the damaged motorcycle and sent the bodies for a post-mortem examination to the Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH).

Victims Identified and Police Investigation

Sadar Station House Officer (SHO) Ashmit Kumar provided details about the deceased. The victims were identified as Rishabh Kumar (21), a resident of Prabhat Nagar in the Sadar police station area, and Shashi Ranjan Kumar (23), who hailed from the Sahebganj police station area.

SHO Kumar stated that the police are investigating all aspects of the case. A key focus of the probe is to determine the exact speed of the motorcycle at the time of the accident and to verify whether the rider was wearing a helmet. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
