Two Separate Incidents of Hanging Reported in Jharkhand Districts
In a tragic series of events, the bodies of two young men were discovered hanging from trees in separate locations within Jharkhand on Sunday morning, according to police reports. Deoghar Case: Shalu Sah Found Near Baga Pater Hill
In the first incident, early morning walkers stumbled upon the body of a man hanging from a tree by the roadside near Kokhara More, situated on the outskirts of Baga Pater Hill under the jurisdiction of the Jasidih police station in Deoghar district. The deceased was identified as Shalu Sah, a 25-year-old resident of Alhaiya village in Giridih district. He had reportedly traveled to Jasidih a few days prior to visit relatives.
Dipak Kumar, the officer in-charge of Jasidih police station, provided details on the case. "The body was found suspended using a belt, which relatives confirmed belonged to the victim," he stated. Preliminary investigations indicate that Sah had been drinking alcohol with friends, leading to a verbal altercation. While his companions returned home, he remained at the location. Initial findings suggest a possible suicide, but the investigation is being conducted comprehensively to rule out other angles. Authorities are questioning his friends and family members to gather more information.
The body was transported to Deoghar Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination and subsequently released to the family for last rites.
Bokaro Case: Dharmdev Gupta Discovered Near Thakur Bandh Pond
In a parallel incident, the body of another 25-year-old man was found hanging from a tree near Thakur Bandh pond at Ramdih More, within the Harla police station area of Bokaro. The deceased was identified as Dharmdev Gupta, originally from Angwali and a resident of Sector 8.
Alok Ranjan, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (City), commented on the situation. "Local residents noticed the body and alerted the police, who promptly arrived at the scene and arranged for a post-mortem examination," he explained. A bag was also recovered from the vicinity. The police are actively investigating to determine whether this is a case of suicide or if foul play is involved. The exact cause of death will be clarified once the postmortem report is available.
