A tragic road accident in Kerala's Kannur district has claimed the lives of two migrant labourers and left over a dozen injured. The incident occurred on Sunday when a truck carrying workers and a concrete mixer overturned.

The fatal crash took place at Mutharikkulam, near Sreekandapuram. According to police reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle while it was descending the Mutharikkulam hill. The truck subsequently hit an electric post and flipped over, landing in an upside-down position.
The group of workers was returning to their living quarters in Sreekandapuram after finishing concreting work at a house located in Kunnathur. The impact of the crash was severe, trapping two individuals beneath the vehicle.

The two workers who died at the scene have been identified. They are Vishwajith Das (30), a native of West Bengal, and Krishna (35), who hailed from Uttar Pradesh.
