Udaipur Gangrape: CEO Among 3 Arrested, Dashcam Footage Key

In a deeply disturbing incident from Udaipur, Rajasthan, shocking new details have surfaced in an alleged gangrape case that occurred on December 20. The case involves the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GKM IT, Jitesh Prakash Sisodia, and two other individuals. The survivor's account, supported by crucial evidence, has led to the arrest of all three accused.

Dashcam Footage Provides Crucial Evidence

The survivor, in her police complaint, revealed a harrowing sequence of events. After regaining consciousness, she became aware of injuries on her body. It was then that she reviewed the car's dashcam footage, which reportedly captured the entire incident. The footage also allegedly recorded a conversation involving the accused, providing critical evidence for the investigation.

The woman's complaint states that all three individuals raped her in turns. A subsequent medical examination confirmed the sexual assault. The medical report noted that the survivor suffered injuries and pain in her private parts as well as other areas of her body. Adding to the trauma, the complainant also mentioned that some of her jewellery, socks, and undergarments were missing after the incident.

Sequence of Events: From Party to Assault

Police have pieced together the following timeline of the alleged crime. The accused CEO, Jitesh Sisodia, had hosted a birthday party on Saturday, December 20, which the survivor, a manager, also attended. As the party wound down and other guests departed, the woman was left by herself.

The female executive head of the company then offered to drive the survivor home. The car also contained Sisodia and the executive's husband, Gaurav Sirohi, who is from Meerut. During the journey, the group stopped at a shop and purchased an item resembling cigarettes, which they offered to the woman. After consuming it, she allegedly lost consciousness.

She only regained awareness the next morning, at which point she realized she had been sexually assaulted. Her subsequent actions, including checking the vehicle's dashcam, became pivotal to the case.

Arrests and Legal Proceedings Under New Law

All three accused were arrested on Thursday, December 25. They were presented before a local court, which sent them to four days of police custody for further interrogation.

The arrests followed the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) at the Sukher police station. The case has been filed under relevant sections of the newly implemented Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal confirmed the arrests and the remand, stating that a thorough probe is currently underway.

The other individuals named in the case are the female executive head of GKM IT and her husband, Gaurav Sirohi. The investigation continues as authorities examine all evidence, including the damning dashcam recording, to build a strong case.
