Udupi Authorities Issue Externment Orders Against Two Individuals with Extensive Criminal Records
In a significant move to enhance public safety, the special executive magistrate and superintendent of police in Udupi district have issued formal externment orders against two individuals with documented histories of violent criminal activities. This administrative action mandates their removal from the district boundaries as a preventive measure against further offenses.
Details of the Externed Individuals and Their Criminal Backgrounds
The first individual identified is Vijeth, a resident of Pithrodi in Udyavara village, who falls under the jurisdiction of the Kaup police station. According to Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar, Vijeth has been implicated in four separate cases involving attempted murder and physical assault, highlighting a pattern of serious violent behavior that posed a threat to community security.
The second person subject to externment is Arif Saheb, who resides in Mudrangadi, Elluru village within Kaup taluk, and comes under the Padubidri police station limits. SP Hariram Shankar revealed that Arif Saheb's criminal record is even more extensive, with involvement in five attempted murder cases alongside additional charges of assault and drug consumption. Due to his repeated offenses, authorities had previously opened a formal rowdy sheet against him at the Padubidri police station, documenting his persistent criminal conduct.
Specific Locations of Exile and Legal Implications
As per the externment orders, Vijeth has been banished to the jurisdiction of the Karwar City police station in Uttara Kannada district. Meanwhile, Arif Saheb has been exiled to the area overseen by the Koppa police station in Chikkamagaluru district. This relocation strategy effectively removes both individuals from Udupi, dispersing them to different regions to mitigate any potential for continued criminal collaboration or local disturbances.
The issuance of these externment orders represents a proactive step by Udupi law enforcement to address recurring threats to public order. By legally mandating the removal of individuals with proven involvement in grave crimes such as attempted murder, the authorities aim to create a safer environment for residents. This action underscores the police department's commitment to utilizing all available legal mechanisms to combat violent crime and uphold district security.
