UK Man Receives 18-Year Prison Sentence for Heinous Child Sex Crimes
A 21-year-old man from Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom has been handed an 18-year jail term for a series of severe sex offences targeting children, as confirmed by police authorities. Gurpreet Randhawa, residing on Wellington Road, was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday after admitting guilt to multiple charges, including four counts of rape, two counts of taking indecent images of a child, and two offences related to sharing indecent images and engaging in sexual communication.
Timeline and Details of the Offences
The criminal activities occurred between July 2024 and September 2025. Randhawa initially met two 15-year-old girls online and persuaded them to meet him in person. He raped one of these girls on three separate occasions from August to September of last year. In the third attack, he took the victim to a car park in Wolverhampton and assaulted her in the back of his vehicle. When she attempted to resist, he physically restrained her by grabbing her throat. The girl later reported the incident to school staff, who promptly alerted the police, leading to Randhawa's arrest on the same day.
Exploitation of a Younger Victim
Further investigation revealed that Randhawa used various fake identities online to contact a 12-year-old girl. Through social media platforms, he engaged in sexually explicit conversations with her and sent inappropriate videos and pictures of himself. He also issued threats to harm her if she did not send indecent images in return and encouraged her to involve her friends in similar activities. Additionally, officers noted that Randhawa smoked drugs with the girls during one of the assaults, highlighting the predatory nature of his actions.

Detective Constable Mark Tallis from the West Midlands Police public protection unit stated that Randhawa systematically targeted and exploited young girls to satisfy his own sexual desires. He emphasized that the courage of the victims in coming forward was crucial in building a robust case and securing convictions. As part of the sentencing, Randhawa has been placed on the sex offenders register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions.
