Mysterious Death in Gurgaon Village

The quiet of Bhangrola village in Gurgaon was shattered on Saturday when passersby made a grim discovery - the body of an unidentified man floating in a local drain. The shocking find immediately prompted emergency calls to local authorities, setting in motion a police investigation that continues to unfold.

Police Response and Initial Findings

Upon receiving the alert, a team from Kherki Daula police station swiftly reached the location and carefully retrieved the body from the water. Preliminary examination revealed the deceased was likely between 30-35 years old and had been in the water for approximately 24 hours, causing significant swelling.

Police officials noted a small injury on the neck of the deceased, though the exact cause remains uncertain. "An injury was found on the neck, but it may have occurred when he fell… he might have struck something. It is not confirmed yet," revealed a police officer involved in the case.

Ongoing Investigation Efforts

Authorities have launched a multi-pronged investigation to unravel the mystery surrounding the man's death and identity. No identity documents were found on the body, complicating identification efforts.

Police are currently scanning missing person reports from nearby stations and showing photographs of the deceased in neighboring villages. Additionally, CCTV footage from adjoining routes is being thoroughly reviewed for any clues that might shed light on the circumstances leading to the man's death.

The discovery caused brief panic among local residents, with villagers gathering at the spot after learning about the incident. Some residents suggested the deceased might have been an outsider, noting that many migrant workers live in the vicinity.

Police emphasized that all possible angles are being examined, including accidental fall, foul play, and personal disputes. However, no First Information Report (FIR) has been registered yet. "Further action will be taken based on the autopsy report and identification," added a senior police officer.

The body has been sent for postmortem examination, which authorities hope will provide crucial insights into the cause of death and help establish the man's identity.
