Vasai Murder Solved in Record Time: Business Partner Arrested for Beheading Victim
In a swift and decisive police operation, the Pelhar police station in Nalasopara, along with the crime branch, has solved the gruesome case of a headless body within just nine hours of its discovery. The authorities arrested the victim's new business partner and an alleged associate on Monday, bringing a shocking murder to a rapid conclusion.
Arrests and Custody in Fatal Business Dispute
The two accused individuals have been remanded to police custody for ten days as the investigation continues. According to police reports, the victim and the accused partner had started a general store together only a month prior, pooling their funds for the venture. However, their partnership was marred by frequent and intense disputes over profits, which ultimately escalated into a fatal confrontation.
Sachin Kamble, the senior police inspector of Pelhar police station, provided chilling details of the crime. He stated that the body bore multiple stab wounds, indicating a violent attack. The victim, identified as Ashok Singh (32), was beheaded by the accused, Dinesh Prajapati (27), who was his business partner. Prajapati was allegedly assisted by his aide, Sandip Tiwari (35). In an attempt to conceal the victim's identity, the accused disposed of the severed head by throwing it into the Tansa river near Khaniwade in Virar. Additionally, they discarded the victim's mobile phone to further obscure any traces.
Swift Police Action and Investigation Techniques
The breakthrough in the case came on March 30 when local residents discovered a suspicious plastic bag containing the headless body. Authorities were immediately alerted, and a dog squad was deployed to the scene. The squad led investigators to a nearby locality, providing the first crucial clue in the investigation.
Building on this lead, the police meticulously scanned approximately 300 CCTV cameras in and around the area. With the aid of advanced technical assistance, they were able to zero in on the suspects, leading to their prompt arrest. This rapid response highlights the effectiveness of modern policing methods in solving complex crimes.
The victim was later confirmed to be Ashok Singh Rajput, originally from Rajasthan. The case underscores the tragic consequences of unresolved business conflicts and the importance of swift law enforcement intervention.
