With the recovery and refund of more than Rs 22 crore, the Vizag police have established themselves as the highest refunding police commissionerate in Andhra Pradesh for cybercrime cases. Vizag Police Commissioner Dr. Shankhabrata Bagchi proudly announced this milestone, underscoring the department's commitment to justice and victim support.

  • Between 2019 and 2023, more than Rs 1.1 crore was refunded to victims of cyber frauds.
  • In 2024, the police refunded over Rs 3.75 crore.
