Hyderabad: A tragic incident occurred in Devarkadra, Mahabubnagar, on Wednesday when a wall of an under-construction building collapsed onto a parked car during heavy rains, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The deceased have been identified as Jagannath Reddy (45), a native of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, and Santosh (40), from Jharkhand.
Sequence of Events
According to police, the victims were colleagues at an infrastructure company and were traveling in a company car. The driver stopped the vehicle near one colleague's house in Devarkadra, as he needed to collect his luggage before heading to Warangal. While he went inside his residence, the wall of a nearby under-construction building suddenly collapsed onto the parked car.
"Two persons, Jagannath Reddy and Santosh, who were seated in the car, died on the spot," said Devarkadra Sub-Inspector G Bhaskar Reddy.
