Woman and Son Die in Sonipat Poisoning, Daughters Critical

A tragic incident has unfolded in the Kharkhoda area of Sonipat, where a woman and her five-year-old son have died after she allegedly poisoned her three children before consuming the substance herself. The woman's two daughters, aged 9 and 12, are in critical condition at a hospital in Delhi.

Incident Details

According to police, the woman, believed to be in her early 30s, took this drastic step just a few hours after visiting the Saidpur police outpost on Tuesday to file a complaint against a local youth. In her complaint, she accused the youth of harassment and threatening to kill her children. While her son passed away on Tuesday, the woman died on Wednesday. Police confirmed that she did not leave behind a suicide note.

Police Investigation

Police have registered a case against the accused youth based on the woman's complaint and are investigating whether his alleged threats contributed to her actions. However, the woman's husband informed the police that she had been struggling with mental instability and emotional stress for some time. A police official stated that a multi-dimensional probe is currently underway, involving forensic analysis and statements from family members. No arrests have been made so far.
